PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an infrared sensor including a column amplifier whose gain is large and having a wide dynamic range. SOLUTION: The infrared sensor 100 is provided with: imaging areas 1 to 3 including a plurality of infrared detection pixels; a row selection line 5 connected to pixels arrayed in the row direction; a signal line 6 connected to pixels arrayed in the column direction; a constant current source 60 connected to the signal line 6; a row selection circuit 50 for applying voltage to the infrared detection pixels and generating a column voltage on the signal line 6; the column amplifier 7 for generating an amplified voltage obtained by amplifying the column voltage; a removing circuit 8 connected to the column amplifier 7 to remove a bias component caused by a bias current supplied to the infrared detection pixels from the amplified voltage; and a reading circuit 11 for reading an output voltage from the column amplifier 7. The column amplifier 7 outputs voltage obtained by removing at least the bias component from the amplified voltage to the reading circuit 11 as the output voltage. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
