PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gear pump which sufficiently forms an oil film between the tooth flanks of two or more gears, prevents abrasion and damage of the tooth flanks, and improves durability. SOLUTION: The tooth flanks are provided with numberless fine recessed parts at random, the surface roughness parameter Ryni of the surface provided with the recessed parts is set within a range of 0.4μm≤Ryni≤1.0μm, and Sk value is set at -1.6 or less. The tooth flanks thereby exhibit high oil film forming capability, and long service life is obtained even under a condition that thickness of the oil film is extremely thin in low viscosity and diluted lubrication.
