The flat band-lock has a lock case for driving and guiding a locking rod (16) in a center area of an extension of a door leaf (14), where a rod guide (18) is provided in an upper and/or lower area of the leaf. The guide represents slots (20) with a base (22), where the slots are connected with the locking rod. The base is pushed on a rear grip surface (26) in an end position e.g. closing position, of the rod, where the surface is formed by a door latch (32) extended into a hollow profile (12). The base freely comes out from the surface in another end position e.g. opening position, of the rod.
