<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of preventing instability of an output and deposition of carbon due to drastic change of heat balance during operation of a high-temperature fuel battery power generating system. <P>SOLUTION: The operation method of the fuel battery, comprising a mixing process of mixing a plurality of kinds of reforming gas including hydrocarbon gas, a reforming process reforming into hydrogen-containing gas by reforming catalyst, and a power generation process in which solid electrolyte fuel battery cells generate power, monitors whether each process of mixing, reforming, and power generation is carried out at preset heat-balancing conditions, performs steam reforming if the heat-balancing conditions are met, and otherwise performs partial oxidation reforming or combined reforming. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
