<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system by which a rental space can be efficiently used while a real rental space can be provided to a customer. <P>SOLUTION: When a rental terminal 101 used by a customer in a rental space reads a commodity code given to a package 402a, for example, whether or not individual bodies prepared for the rental commodity specified by the commodity code are available in stock is queried to a server 301. When they are available in the stock, the server 301 executes the reservation processing and sends the rental terminal 101 a replay to the effect that they are available in the stock. The rental terminal 101 generates the reservation information accordingly.
