<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a shift lock mechanism for easily combining a mechanical type shift lock mechanism with an electric steering lock device. <P>SOLUTION: An inner cable 30 is made into a movement-limited state or a movable state according to whether a brake 50 is under an operation condition or not and whether a lock bar 54 is at a locked position or not. When the movement of the inner cable 30 is limited, the inner cable 30 restrains the movement of the shift lever 14 from a "P" position to the other shift position. Meanwhile, when the inner cable 30 is made movable, the inner cable 30 cancels the limitation of the movement of the shift lever 14 from the "P" position to the other shift position. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
