PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rheocast casting method, in which the outer peripheral part of a slurry-preparing vessel is worked so as to make the vessel easily crushable in an axial direction. SOLUTION: The rheocast casting method comprises: a step of pouring molten metal into a slurry-preparing vessel 7 held by a cooling holder 21; a step of preparing metal slurry in a semi-solidified state by cooling; a step of setting the vessel 7 containing the metal slurry to a pressurizing sleeve of a casting machine; and a step of press-molding the slurry-preparing vessel 7 with a plunger. In the casting method, an uneven pattern 31 to be pressed against the outer peripheral part of the slurry-preparing vessel 7 is formed on the inner peripheral part of the cooling holder 21, and the uneven pattern 31 is transferred to the outer peripheral part of the slurry-preparing vessel during the step of pouring molten metal into the slurry-preparing vessel 7. In the step of press-molding with the plunger, an uneven pattern 12 transferred on the outer peripheral part of the slurry-preparing vessel helps the vessel 7 to be easily crushed in the axial direction.
