PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for extending a sheet, while continuously feeding the sheet, and evading the stop of a manufacturing line till another sheet is laminated on the sheet being fed in an extension state so as to finish the formation of a composite sheet, while preventing a break due to the extension of the sheet. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the compound sheet comprises a tension load process for extending a carving sheet f2, while continuously feeding the sheet; and a compound process for laminating another sheet s1 on the sheet f4 to be fed in the extension state. A crack c, etc., to cause the break of the carving sheet f2 in the tension load process is detected at the upstream side of the tension load process.
