PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a belt for a fishing gear, effective for preventing the large protrusion of a belt wound around a fishing gear to the outer circumference and enabling easy tightening of the belt. SOLUTION: The belt 1 for a fishing gear is composed of a belt body 2 having flexibility and stretchability, a fixing tool 3b formed on the inner face 2f of the side of the rear end 2b of the belt body 2 and a fixing tool 3a extending from the front end 2a to the rear end 2b of the outer surface 2e of the belt body 2. A tapered part T1 is formed on the side of the rear end 2b in a manner gradually approaching the right and left side faces 2c, 2d toward the rear end side 2b, and the width of the belt body 2 is gradually narrowed toward the rear end side 2b.
