<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display apparatus which can always display a uniform image over the whole screen. <P>SOLUTION: A signal input means 21 outputs a composite image signal Vi converted into an easy-to-process system to a display signal creating means 22. The display signal creating means 22 converts the composite image signal Vi into a signal suitable for displaying it on a display means 24. An apparatus state detection means 32 detects a state of the display apparatus. A calculating means 33 obtains an unevenness compensation amount Ct based on apparatus state information Dt input from the apparatus state detection means 32 and outputs the amount to an unevenness compensating means 31. The unevenness compensating means 31 compensates for an image signal Vs input from the display signal creating means 22 based on the unevenness compensation amount Ct corresponding to a position where to display the image signal by the display means 24, thereby converting the signal into a signal format usable by the display means and outputting the converted signal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
