PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a Pareto new region search technology for retrieving a new Pareto region while suppressing any useless calculation. SOLUTION: When there is a system having the responses of a plurality of characteristic values for a plurality of restriction elements, a Pareto new region search device is provided with: a sampling generation means; a classification means; a characteristic contour map preparation means; an individual optimal position storage means; a superimposition means for superimposing the respective characteristic contour maps at positions where the similarity becomes the same, and for preparing an integrated characteristic contour map; an integrated optimal position storage means; a Pareto line setting means for setting a Pareto line on the basis of the relation of the individual optimal position and the integrated optimal position; a feature extraction means for extracting the features of sampling on the Pareto line; and a search means for generating new sampling on the basis of the extracted characteristics, and for searching a network Pareto region.
