PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stop a loudspeaker output in resetting with simple configuration. SOLUTION: A digital amplifier recognizes a reset instruction when receiving a supply of a reset signal R1, decreases a gain of a PCM signal S1 to a 0 level on the basis of the recognition of the reset instruction and thereafter stops superimposition of a dither, generates PWM signals P1'(+), P1'(-),P2'(+) and P2'(-) in response to a digital audio signal S3 after the gain adjustment as above and thereafter uses the PWM signals P1'(+), P1'(-),P2'(+) and P2'(-) to stop the operation of switching elements TR1 to TR4 in a PWM signal amplifier section 15 to thereby stop a sound output of a loudspeaker SP without producing a pop noise in resetting.
