PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce costs by reducing circuit scale and to attain higher image quality. SOLUTION: The costs are reduced by sharing a line memory 131 to be used by color average processing in PAL signal processing and synchronization processing in SECAM signal processing. Furthermore, the synchronization processing of a SECAM demodulation signal is suitably performed using correlation by thinning and multiplexing a correlation signal and a SECAM demodulation signal, and as a result, the higher image quality is attained.
