PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sample tube holder 11 for receiving and holding a longitudinal-directional symmetric shaft 23, and cylindrical sample tubes 21, 22 having a prescribed range of outside diameter. SOLUTION: This sample tube holder has a hard main body 12 provided with at least one long chamber 13 for receiving longitudinal-directional portions of the sample tubes 21, 22, and garter springs 31, 32, 33, 34 engaged with the chamber 13 and arranged in an outside thereof. When the sample tubes 21, 22 are arranged in the chamber 13, a clearance is made to be generated between the sample tubes 21, 22 and a side wall 14 of the chamber 13, the respective garter springs 31, 32, 33, 34 are brought into direct contact with at least three points of outer faces of the sample tubes 21, 22, the respective garter springs 31, 32, 33, 34 hold thereby the sample tubes 21, 22, and the longitudinal-directional symmetric shaft 23 of the sample tube is conformed with a longitudinal-directional symmetric shaft 17 of the chamber 13.
