PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a passage of a released cover tape surely through a slit of a suppressor and to stably and surely connect an old storing tape C with a new storing tape when the connected storing tapes are mounted on a component supplying unit and are used. SOLUTION: In this connecting apparatus, as a thickness becomes thick at a part JG where cover tapes Ca of the old storing tape C and the new storing tape C are overlapped, on counter parts of an A sheet 70A and a B sheet 70B of the connecting sheet 70, at the part JG where at least cover tape Ca is overlapped, projections 71A and 71B are formed on both end parts in the carrying direction of the storing tape C so that the interval of both sheets becomes wide so as to avoid a projection 7A and at a part other than the overlap, the interval of both sheets becomes narrow.
