<p>Transverse element (32) for a drive belt provided with a band set (31) and a number of transverse elements (32) , a transverse element (32) being provided with at least one cutout having an inner surface (42, 43) for accommodatin the band set (31) , in such a manner that a first part (34) of the transverse element (32) extends below the band set (31) and a third part (36) of the transverse element (32) extends above the band set (31) , in which the transverse element (32) is able to rotate with respect to the band set (31) about an imaginary axis, oriented axially with respect to the band set (31) , and in which, as a result of a curvature of the inner surface (42, 43) at the location of said third part (36) , a contact between an edge (44) thereof and the band set (31) is prevented.</p> |
