<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game system and so forth which can realize a game environment being the same as an actual game machine used by a plurality of players by a terminal machine without applying burden to a server. <P>SOLUTION: This game system GS is constituted of a server SS and a plurality of terminal machines T. The server SS holds setting state information which is set for the terminal machines T, and provides the setting state information to the terminal machines T. The terminal machine T sets the setting state information as a local state of the self machine when the setting state information has been acquired, and executes a game based on the local state. The local state of the terminal machine T changes depending on the status of the game, and the local state when the game is completed is transmitted to the server SS.
