PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress current fluctuation and torque fluctuations in conjunction with commutation of a commutator and a brush, without causing the performance of a motor to degrade, and to reduce the production of a spark between the commutator and the brush due to commutation to prolong the lifetime of the motor. SOLUTION: The number of commutator pieces is set to twice the number of magnetic pole cores. The same number of windings as the number of the magnetic pole cores are taken as one group, and first and second groups of windings are provided. Both ends of each of the windings in the first group are connected to respective commutator pieces, and the windings are wound on corresponding magnetic pole cores in a first direction. Both ends of each of the windings in the second group are connected to respective commutator pieces, and the windings are wound on the magnetic pole cores, positioned on a side opposite to the connected commutator pieces in the radial direction, in a second direction opposite the first direction.
