PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile telephone in which related various functions can be made effective in accordance with a leg operating state and operations are simplified in the mobile telephone provided with a self-standing leg structure. SOLUTION: In the mobile telephone 10 provided with a leg structure for making the mobile telephone self-standing and having a function part for making a leg operate and using the leg, the mobile telephone 10 is provided with a leg operation detecting part 25 for detecting an operating state of the leg, and an operation mode control part 26 for controlling an operation mode of the mobile telephone 10. When the leg operation detecting part 25 detects that the leg is in a prescribed operating state, the leg operation mode control part 26 changes the operation mode of the mobile telephone 10 to an operation for making the function part provided in the mobile telephone 10 related to the operating state of the leg.
