PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reproducing device with a calendar displaying function of displaying a reduced image corresponding to a date of a calendar even when an image is deleted, to provide an image display method, and to provide a program. SOLUTION: When a main image made to correspond to a reduced image displayed while related to a date of the calendar is deleted, an Exif compression file 50 (Fig. 4(a)) generated by including columns 51 to 57 of thumbnail information and thumbnail compressed data 58 recorded by replacing compressed data of the main image in an Exif compression file in a storage memory 28. Consequently, the Exif compression file 50 includes thumbnails, but does not include the main image, which is therefore considered to be deleted. An APPI marker 52ni is generated in thumbnail information columns 52-1 to 52-6 as shown in Fig 4(b), but not generated in JPEG thumbnail columns. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
