PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus, system, method and program, and a recording medium capable of obtaining an image with high reproducibility and quickly carrying out generation processing of reduced images and differential images. SOLUTION: The apparatus divides a binary input image into a plurality of regions to produce the regions each comprising n×n or m×m pixels, and references an output pixel value table 112a that records in advance reduced images 600-1 to 600-n in response to pixel patterns 500-1 to 500-n which are respectively taken in the respective regions and differential images 700-1 to 700-n obtained from the pixel patterns 500-1 to 500-n and the reduced images 600-1 to 600-n corresponding to the pixel patterns 500-1 to 500-n to generate the reduced image and the differential image corresponding to the pixel pattern included in each generated region.
