PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a two-component developer which does not cause photoreceptor filming, keeps fluidity and charging property of a toner appropriate, allows control of toner concentration to a predetermined value, and prevents image density from lowering. SOLUTION: The two-component developer includes the toner and a carrier, wherein the toner is obtained by externally adding polytetrafluoroethylene having an average particle diameter of 100-1,000 nm and silica having an average particle diameter of 5-300 nm to toner base particles including a binder resin and a colorant. The silica is externally added in an amount of 3-10 parts by weight based on 100 parts by weight of the toner base particles, and silica A comprising at least one sort of silica in the above silica and having an average particle diameter of 20-300 nm is externally added with the polytetrafluoroethylene to the toner base particles in an amount of≥2.5 parts by weight based on 100 parts by weight of the toner base particles.
