PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light diffusing film which is used for being stuck to an optical element of a plate shape or a film shape in a form where an air layer is assured therebetween, which can easily uniformize thickness of the air layer when being stuck and further which has sufficiently high light diffusing property. SOLUTION: The light diffusing film 1 is provided with a light translucent film base material 2, an uneven microstructure layer 34 formed on its 1st surface and protrusions 5 which are dispersedly formed on a 2nd surface of the light translucent film base material 2 by a dot-shaped pattern and which are consisting of a pressure sensitive type adhesive. The uneven microstructure layer 34 contains a light translucent binder resin 4 and a light translucent particulate 3 which is held by the light translucent binder resin 4 and an upper part of which projects from the translucent binder resin 4.
