PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus with which desired composition is easily determined by displaying some viewing angle frames so that the composition obtained after completing zooming operation may be easily grasped in photography by optical zooming, and to provide a method for displaying a viewing angle in zooming and a program. SOLUTION: When a user presses a zooming button, a control part superposes and displays the viewing angle frame 42-2 corresponding to a zooming step designated by zooming operation and the viewing angle frames 42-1 and 42-3 corresponding to zooming steps before and after the one on a through-image 41 on a liquid crystal monitor 4 by using a corresponding table (zooming viewing angle corresponding table) between the zooming step designated by zooming operation and the display coordinates of the viewing angle frame.
