PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a toner, in which the toner particles having a small grain size and sharp grain size distribution of reduced fine powder, can be obtained efficiently and stably, with satisfactory productivity by a mechanical pulverizing machine. SOLUTION: The mechanical pulverizing machine is employed for a pulverizing apparatus to be used in a pulverizing process. If the repeating distance of the projecting parts and projecting parts of a rotor 314 of the mechanical pulverizing machine is defined as Ra, and the repeating distance of the projecting parts and projecting parts of a stator 310 as La, the configuration of the rotor and the stator is so set that the range where Ra and La are different exists. In addition, the rotor of the mechanical pulverizing machine is set in the configuration of the rotor, in such a manner that the range, where the repeating distance Ra of the projecting parts and projecting parts are different, exists.
