PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a forming method and a forming apparatus by which a corrugated fin structure the cross-sectional shape of which is an approximately rectangular channel shape and which has waviness in the longitudinal direction is accurately obtained by a simple operation. SOLUTION: In the method of forming the corrugated fin structure the cross-sectional shape of which is an approximately rectangular channel-shaped waveform, which has a bent curved surface on which the waviness is formed at a prescribed pitch width in the longitudinal direction and is composed of a strip made of a metallic sheet, by these forming method and forming apparatus of the corrugated fin structure, a corrugated fin preformed body the cross-sectional shape of which is a trapezoidal and on which waviness is formed at a prescribed pitch width in the longitudinal direction is formed by passing the strip made of the metallic sheet to be a workpiece of a raw material through forming gears to which a prescribed forming work is applied in a preforming apparatus. Next, the corrugated fin preformed body is fed to a press-forming apparatus provided with dies on which a pair of female and male forming parts are provided so as to obtain the size and shape of the expected corrugated fin structure, progressively fed at a prescribed interval through a feeding mechanism which is arranged side by side with the press forming apparatus and the press forming is applied successively at least one wave by one wave.
