PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a work conveying apparatus, surely grasping a held part of a work and conveying the work regardless of its shape. SOLUTION: In this work conveying apparatus, a mover 2 moving along a frame 1 is provided with an arm part 3 to rock in an arbitrary direction and freely rotate, the arm part 3 is provided with a work grasping part 4, the held part of the work 5 is grasped by the work grasping part 4, and the work grasping part 4 is moved together with the mover 2 to convey the work 5. The arm part 3 is rocked and rotated to put the work grasping part 4 in attitudes corresponding to the transverse held part, the longitudinal held part and the oblique held part, whereby the held part can be surely grasped.
