PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for preventing the production of carbohydrate moieties having a distinctive terminal Galα1-3Galβ1-4GlcNAc epitope that is a significant factor in human transplant rejection. SOLUTION: Provided is a swine in which the normal expression ofα(1,3) galactosyltransferase is prevented in at least one organ of tissue type by using a DNA construct encoding an antisense RNA and a DNA encoding a ribozyme.
