Low temperature high pressure lye combustion process Method and apparatus for combustion of sulphate lye pref. magnesium sulphite lye in a vapour generator with recovery of the combustion residue by burning at 5-25 atm and 80-100 degrees C in a vessel comprising a single chamber with the vapour generator into which air is introduced from above and the lye from below. The process overcomes crust formation and hence the necessity for frequent burner replacements.
