Provided are indoor equipment of air conditioning equipment, which can hide the embedding portion of a main body in accordance with an embedding quantity and has excellent appearance when embedded in a wall; a cover member for such indoor equipment and a method for embedding the indoor equipment in the wall. The indoor equipment (1) of the air conditioning equipment is of a type to be placed on the floor. The indoor equipment (1) is provided with the main body (2) and the cover member (9). The main body (2) is provided with a rear side step section (51). The rear side step section (51) can be embedded in the wall. The cover member (9) is provided with a plurality of cover elements (55, 56, 57, 58). The cover elements (55, 56, 57, 58) are arranged along a direction wherein the rear side step section (51) is embedded in the wall. The cover elements (55, 56, 57, 58) can be divided. The cover member (9) covers at least a part of the rear side step section (51).
