<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical information recording medium capable of forming a label through the use of a laser beam and having a visible information recording layer superior in light fastness and heat fastness for visible information. <P>SOLUTION: The optical information recording medium 10 can record information by irradiation with laser beams 38 and is provided with the visible information recording layer 24 on which visible information is recorded. The visible information recording layer 24 contains a coloring matter and at least one metal atom selected from the group consisting of Na, Mg, K and Ca.
