PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical waveguide device that generates no air bubbles during the formation of an optical waveguide and that facilitates manufacturing of a PLC type optical multiplexer/demultiplexer having small loss. SOLUTION: The optical waveguide device has a core 1a, 1b which continues via a dicing groove 2 for positioning and fixing an optically functional component such as a wavelength selection filter 3, a core 1c branching from the core and a small gap 5 between both cores.
