PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner which can inform the user of the fault state of a faulty outdoor unit while continuing the operation of the system at large with normal outdoor units even if any outdoor unit goes wrong among a plurality of outdoor units, and can inform the user of the fault state of the faulty outdoor unit, keeping the operation in insignificant fault of the outdoor unit. SOLUTION: This air conditioner is equipped with a control means which classifies the fault levels into a plurality of stages, with regard to the fault having occurred in some outdoor unit among the outdoor units 1a-1c, and can inform the user of it, keeping the operation of the system at large as it is, if it is the insignificant fault capable of keeping the continuation of air conditioning operation, or is the fault of content which is possible of continuation of air conditioning operation, for example a fault of a component that does not disturb the safe air conditioning operation.
