<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of correcting color misalignment and position misalignment without reducing productivity by reading registration-patterns with different magnifications formed between continuous printing pages with different magnifications by the speed change of a polygon-mirror motor. <P>SOLUTION: The registration-patterns with different magnifications formed between continuous printing pages with different magnifications are read and converted into the reference magnification according to the magnification so as to calculate and hold the present position misalignment correction. The image forming apparatus includes a position misalignment correcting means controlling the rotation speed and rotation phase of the polygon-mirror so as to correct the position misalignment, based on the position misalignment correction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
