<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device, capable of surely preventing unexpected simultaneous energizing for a plurality of heating heaters, and to provide an image forming apparatus equipped with the fixing device. <P>SOLUTION: The fixing device is provided which is equipped with a heating roller, equipped with a plurality of heating heaters having different heating intensity; a power source for supplying power to the heating heaters; a temperature control means for controlling the temperature of the heating heaters via an electric switch; a plurality of conductive paths, having a contact only for the combination of the heating heaters, which does not exceed the electricity supply amount; and a mechanical switch for physically and exclusively switching the respective conductive paths, and the image forming apparatus with the above fixing device is also provided. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
