PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus which is easy to adjust, compact in configuration and can obtain a high-image quality image. SOLUTION: A concave spherical surface 21p comes into contact with a convex spherical surface 21c, when an upper barrel 21B is placed on a lower barrel 21A. At this time, the magnet 32 of an actuator 30 is attracted by a magnetic force acting between the magnet 32 and the magnet Mg of a tool J, so that the upper barrel 21B is fixedly attracted to the lower barrel 21A, without requiring other support members. At this time, an operator turns the imaging apparatus 50 to a test pattern (not shown in figure) and pushes and moves the upper barrel 21B to the totally most focusing position, in a direction orthogonal to an optical axis, while observing a test pattern image displayed on a monitor. Since the upper barrel 21B is rotated around the center P of the spherical surface together with an imaging lens 10, by using the spherical surface 21c of the lower barrel 21A as a guide, the tilt adjustment of the imaging lens 10 can be properly performed.
