PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a telephone set with an automatic reception function that can automatically receive an incoming call from a registered caller, easily recognize the caller in voice, and carry out hands-free reception/speech. SOLUTION: The telephone set 10 includes: a memory section 13 wherein caller particularizing information data corresponding to caller data transmitted together with a call signal are registered in advance; a control section 18 for discriminating whether or not the registered caller particularizing information data are coincident with the caller data at the arrival of a phone call; an automatic reception switch section 19 that is switched into an automatic reception state when both the data are coincident; and a speaker 5 for sounding the voice of the caller after the automatic reception.
