PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a door coping with evacuation in an earthquake disaster, capable of opening the door, even if in-plane deformation is caused in a door frame body in an earthquake, by replacing the door to an existing door frame of a concrete building such as an apartment house. SOLUTION: A metallic laterally opening door for the building is formed by openably-closably installing a door body 2 surrounded by an outer peripheral frame and having a bolt protruding-retreating form locking device 7 in a frame body 3 integrally formed with the building, and has the emergency doorway 10 penetratingly arranged in the door body 2 and formed in the size capable of making a human being escapable, and an auxiliary door 11 fitted in the emergency doorway 10 from the indoor side and installed in the door body 2 by a fastening plate 12.
