PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an acrylic copolymer easily controlling its molecular weight and molecular weight distribution, and enabling the introduction of a specific functional group at the terminal of the acrylic copolymer. SOLUTION: This method for producing the acrylic copolymer is provided by performing a radical copolymerization of an acrylic monomer by using an organic peroxide as a polymerization initiator in the presence of a compound having≥2 hindered amino groups in one molecule.
