PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To permit even a user whose locomotive function is relatively low to sufficiently attain a training effect. SOLUTION: The muscle training apparatus has a base 11, a waist mounting unit 14 arranged on the base 11, and a supporting unit supporting the waist mounting unit 14 swingably in all directions with respect to the base 11. The waist mounting unit 14 has a first member and a second member arranged movably with respect to the first member and to mount the waist. In that case, the waist mounting unit 14 has a first member and a second member arranged movably with respect to the first member and to mount the waist. Since the apparatus can create an unstable condition for a pelvis alone with the waist mounted on the second member and the upper part of the body stabilized, even a user whose locomotive function is relatively low such as an elderly person can sufficiently attain a training effect by using the apparatus.
