PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a first agent of hair shape-controlling agent capable of permanently making native curly hair/wavy hair straight and not imparting damage and dry feeling to the hair. SOLUTION: The first agent of hair shape-controlling agent comprises (A) a keratin reducing substance and (B) a pyridinium salt represented by general formula (1) [R1is an 8-14C saturated or unsaturated hydrocarbon group; X-is a halide ion, an alkyl sulfuric acid ion or an alkyl or arylsulfonic acid ion].
