PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transfer foil which can be used to easily decorate a surface to which the foil is transferred and exhibits excellent glittering sensation on the surface, and a method for manufacturing the transfer foil. SOLUTION: This transfer foil comprises: at least a glittering layer composed of a glitter obtained by coating a metal or a metal oxide to glass flake as a body material and a transparent resin; and an adhesive layer for making the glittering layer adhere to the surface to which the foil is transferred. Besides, in manufacturing the transfer foil, a coating liquid with a specified viscosity is used for forming the glittering layer. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
