<p>Provided are an information processing device and method, and a recording medium, which can analyze a code progress more precisely. A featuring quantity extraction unit (41) extracts, from a composition code progress attained from the waveform of a musical composition, a probability of coexistence of one code and another code, a probability of transitions of one code, if appeared, to others, and a probability of transition of a code, if appeared, from what code, individually. A code similarity calculation unit (42) calculates, on the basis of those probabilities extracted, a similarity between the code progress of the composition and the code progress inputted by a user. A musical composition retrieving unit (43) retrieves, on the basis of the calculated similarity, a composition of a code progress similar to that inputted by the user.</p> |
