<p>A method for allocating downlink power in a wireless communication system and an apparatus thereof are provided to properly adjust data transmission amount and service coverage and to make it possible to communicate while reducing loss of the data transmission amount as much as possible by redistributing power allocated to each terminal on the basis of average downlink quality information for an overall band received from each terminal. A method for allocating downlink power in a wireless communication system comprises the following several steps. Power allocated for each terminal is calculated on the basis of downlink quality information of each terminal(301,302). Minimum needed power for each terminal is calculated on the basis of the downlink quality information(303). Part of surplus power of the first terminal group, to which power larger than the minimum needed power is allocated, is distributed as much as a shortage to the second terminal group, to which power smaller than the minimum needed power is allocated(304).</p> |
