<p>A method of controlling variable active sets in a digital communication system and a system adopting the same are provided to prevent an excessive resource from being allocated to one terminal and to flexibly cope with the excessive resource. A method of controlling variable active sets in a digital communication system comprises the following several steps. An EMS(Element Management Server) of the digital communication system maintains a management database which records network setup information for at least one network element(221). The EMS receives a value of the number of active sets allocated to the network element from a network operator according to a network parameter collected for the digital communication system(213). The EMS records the value of the number of active sets at the management database(222). The EMS downloads the value of the number of active sets to the network element(223).</p> |
