<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inhibit generation of black smoke, to improve acceleration of an engine, and to sufficiently perform supercharging by a turbocharger, when opening of EGR valve is adjusted. <P>SOLUTION: When it is determined that the engine 1 is under a transitional condition, a control for setting the EGR valve 5 at a condition Amin where the valve 5 is closed for a predetermined period of time from a first opening A1, and then gradually increasing the opening from the closed condition Amin to a second opening A2 as time passes, is made. When it is determined that the engine 1 is under the transitional condition, a control for setting a bypass valve 11 at a condition B1 where the valve 11 is closed for a predetermined period of time, and then gradually increasing the opening of the bypass valve 11 from the closed condition B1 to an open condition B2, is also made. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
