PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrical contact 20 capable of providing a predetermined height without leading to a connection failure between the electrical contacts 20, and to provide a production method for the electrical contact 20. SOLUTION: The electrical contact 20 of the present invention is designed to protrude on a copper foil 40, and is obtained by applying a metallic paste layer 42 onto the copper foil 40 and fixing a metallic ball 44 on the metallic paste layer 42 through sintering, and applying gold plating to at least a portion of the metallic ball 44 that comes into contact with a counterpart object. The production method for the electrical contact 20 protruding on the copper foil 40 comprises: as a first step, applying the metallic paste layer 42 of a predetermined size onto the copper foil 40; as a second step, mounting the metallic ball 44 on the metallic paste layer 42 and then applying a pressure to the metallic ball 44 in the direction of the copper foil; as a third step, sintering and fixing the metallic ball 44 at a predetermined temperature; and, as a fourth step, applying noble metal plating to at least the portion of the metallic ball 44 that comes into contact with a counterpart object.
