PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal dome switch capable of providing excellent load characteristics for a click rate, a peak load value and the like, excelling in durability and capable of keeping the excellent load characteristics over a sufficiently long time. SOLUTION: This metal dome switch is provided with: a base substrate 2 with a fixed contact electrode 1 formed on one principal surface; a metal dome 3 arranged at a position corresponding to the fixed contact electrode 1; and a metal dome holding sheet 4 made of an insulation material, arranged by covering the metal dome 3, having a recessed part 6 on the metal dome 3 side at a position located nearly at the central part of the metal dome 3, and having a plunger member 7 in the recessed part 6.
