PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify temperature control apparatus for carrying out gene amplification reaction in an amplification reaction part. SOLUTION: Pairs of temperature control units 60 and 62 are installed every reactor vessel 10 and an upper temperature control unit 62 is supported so as to be vertically movable by a member other than a reactor vessel-mounting part and a lower temperature control unit 60 is supported so as to enable vertical movement by the reactor vessel-mounting part. The lower end of a rod screw 146 for driving is brought into contact with the upper surface of the upper temperature control unit 62 through a shaft 144 and a substrate 143 in order to lower the upper temperature control unit 62. The lower temperature control unit 60 is supported on the tip side of a lever 141 by a joint 142 in which the lower side is rotatable. The lever 141 is rotatably supported by a shaft 140 and the lower end of a connecting member integrated with the substrate 143 is brought into contact with a base end of the lever 141. When the rod screw 146 is driven and lowered, the substrate 143 is pushed down and the upper temperature control unit 62 is lowered in connection with depression of the substrate 143 and the lower temperature control unit 60 is raised at the same time.
