PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a security device that can accurately detect the approach of an intruder in monitoring outdoor conditions with a Doppler sensor installed inside, by preventing malfunctions, for example, due to raindrops attaching to and moving down a window glass surface. SOLUTION: The security device 20 incorporating the microwave Doppler sensor 10 capable of determining object approach/separation is installed on an indoor ceiling 1. The monitoring direction (microwave output signal radiation direction) of the Doppler sensor is set at a predetermined downward angle (dipθ≈45°) to a window glass 2. The approach/separation determination based on the output of the Doppler sensor is "approach" for an approaching intruder, but the approach/separation determination based on the output of the Doppler sensor is "separation" for raindrops attaching to and moving down the window glass.
